Compasyn is a market for independently built software. Search when you know what you need, or walk its aisles when you do not.

Software does not have an expiration date

A product does not become undiscoverable simply because its launch day has passed. Products remain part of the market as long as they are published and eligible for discovery, so something listed two years ago can still be found today.

Two different questions

Search asks: What is the best fit for this problem?

Search ranking is based on how well a product matches what you are looking for, using the information available about the product and your query. It does not use impressions, clicks, CTR, founder identity, payments, or sponsorship to determine where a product ranks.

Browsing asks: What should I discover next?

Browsing works differently. We deliberately account for exposure so products that receive attention early do not simply remain at the top, while products with less exposure still have opportunities to be discovered. This is balanced discovery, not equal exposure — we do not promise every product the same amount of attention.

Where listings come from

Every listing is submitted by the person responsible for the product and goes through human moderation before it appears in the market.

When someone submits a product, they confirm that they are authorized to submit it. That confirmation comes from the submitter; it is not independent proof of ownership or authorization. If you believe a listing is unauthorized or otherwise should not be in the market, you can report it and a person will review the report.

The numbers we show founders

Founder-facing analytics filter detected automated, duplicate, and other invalid activity before it is included in dashboard metrics.

These filters are designed to make the numbers more useful, but no detection system catches everything. We therefore treat the figures as filtered measurements, not a guarantee of perfectly clean traffic.
