Acceptable use
Compasyn only works if the numbers mean something and the listings are real. These are the things that break that.

Do not manipulate the metrics
No scripted clicks, no farmed impressions, no asking people to click through repeatedly to inflate a number. A founder’s figures are supposed to tell them something true; traffic we judge automated is excluded and recorded.
Do not list what is not yours
Submitting a product you are not authorised to submit is the one thing that damages someone who never chose to be here. If it happens, the real owner can report it and we will remove it.
Do not misrepresent a product
Stating capabilities a product does not have — self-hosting it does not support, compliance it does not hold, integrations it does not ship — is how a requirement-matching service becomes worthless. Everything you state is published attributed to you and dated.
Do not abuse reporting
Reports go to a person. Filing them against a competitor to create work is not a takedown mechanism; a report never removes a listing on its own.
Do not scrape
There is a documented public API at /api/v1. Use it. It is rate limited, it is stable, and it will not break when we change the HTML.
Also not allowed
- Multiple accounts to evade limits or moderation.
- Malware, phishing, or listings whose linked site does something other than stated.
- Attempts to reach another founder’s data or the moderation queue.
- Content that is unlawful, or that targets a person.
What happens
Depending on what it is: the listing is removed, the account is suspended, or both. Where we remove something we say why. The terms cover the rest.
Court and government orders
Compasyn hosts what founders submit and does not write it. Where a court or an authorised government agency orders content removed, we remove it within the time the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require, and we keep the order. Send one to support@compasyn.com, which is also where any other complaint about a listing goes: we acknowledge it within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days.
