What Compasyn is

A requirement-matching service for independently built software. You describe what you need; Compasyn checks each requirement against what founders have stated about their products and shows you what it could and could not check.

What Compasyn does not promise

• We do not test products. Products are submitted by their founders and reviewed against Compasyn’s listing requirements before they are published. Compasyn does not represent that every product claim has been independently verified.
• We do not guarantee a product is suitable. A match means the stated requirements line up with the stated facts. Check the founder’s own site before you spend money.
• We are not a party to anything you buy. Payment, delivery, support and refunds are between you and the founder.

Your account

• Give an accurate email address and keep your password to yourself.
• Confirm your email address before submitting a product or asking for writing help — both require it.
• One account per person. Do not create accounts to manipulate anything.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.

If you list a product

You confirm you are authorised to submit it. You keep ownership of everything you write, and you give Compasyn permission to display it, index it and expose it through the public API. See the submission policy and what can be listed.

You can edit your listing at any time. Changes are reviewed by a moderator before they are public, and the listing is hidden while that happens. Keeping it accurate is your responsibility.

Compasyn may offer optional AI-assisted writing help. Any suggestion is yours to accept or discard before it is submitted — using it does not shift responsibility for accuracy away from you.

What we can do

We can remove a listing that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, and we can suspend an account that does. Where we remove something we will say why. Free placement carries no automatic expiry, but it is subject to moderation, policy violations, disputes and removal requests — it is not permanent.

Compasyn only hosts what founders submit

Every listing is written and submitted by its founder, not by Compasyn. We review submissions against our listing requirements before anything is published, and we act on reports (see acceptable use) — but we do not create, select or edit what a founder writes. Compasyn is an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and this page, together with acceptable use and what can be listed, is the rules and regulations an intermediary is required to publish under the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021.

Grievance officer: support@compasyn.com. We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days.

No warranty

Compasyn is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty of any kind — including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a listing is accurate, complete, or fit for your purpose. We do not warrant any product you find here, or any outcome from using one. Where the law gives you a right that this section cannot exclude, that right stands; everything else in this section applies to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Compasyn is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss, or loss of profit, revenue, data, or business — arising from a product you found here, information a founder gave us, the service being unavailable, or anything a founder or another user does. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for everything arising out of your use of Compasyn is capped at whichever is greater: ₹1,000, or the amount you paid Compasyn in the 12 months before the claim. Listing on Compasyn is currently free, so today that cap is ₹1,000.

You indemnify us for what you submit

If you submit a listing, you agree to cover Compasyn for any claim, loss or cost — including reasonable legal fees — arising from what you submitted, from submitting something you were not authorised to submit, or from your breach of acceptable use. We will tell you promptly about a claim we expect you to cover, and we control our own defence of it.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or Compasyn is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will say so on this page and date it. Continuing to use Compasyn after that means the new version applies.
